Linda Ronstadt was fired by the Aladin casino in Las Vegas for dedicating the song "Desparado" to filmaker Michael Moore. I'm not a fan of her music (hey, I'm not that old!!), but it seems to me that we do have a right to say what we want in the USA, or at least we used to. Do you think she would have been fired for dedicating a song to Charlton Heston? Sorry, I can't think of a conservative film-maker - I guess there is a Hollywood cabal out to get rid of Bush. Remember folks, all art has a responsibility to inspire and provoke, not just soothe and entertain.
