British Election Update

Well, Duncan didn't win, but he placed a very respectable 2nd, with 34.9% of the vote, closing the gap on the Tories. The Conservative candidate won with 44.5%, while Labour managed 17.3% of the vote in Westbury.

Hi Charles!
Thanks for following the campaign. We increased our vote by 3,395 in this constituency - unfortunately we weren't the only ones.
19,400 is a good tally in this part of the world - in fact it's 300 more than our party's leader, Charles Kennedy MP.
But not quite good enough - there's always next time, I hope.
