Butterfield Wins!!

Yep, we kicked ass in North Carolina boys and girls.  GK won!!

RALEIGH, N.C. - In a likely preview of November's general election, Democrat G.K. Butterfield beat Republican Greg Dority in Tuesday's special election to fill out the term of former U.S. Rep. Frank Ballance.
With 45 of 263 precincts reporting unofficial results, Butterfield had 7,206 votes, or 70 percent, to 2,989 votes, or 29 percent, for Dority, a Republican. Libertarian Tom Eisenmenger had 158 votes, or 2 percent.

In party primaries to see who will compete in the November general election, Butterfield led his fellow Democrats with 8,233 votes, or 72 percent. Sam Davis was second with 1,277 votes, or 11 percent, with Don Davis, Christine Fitch and Darryl Smith trailing with 51 precincts reporting.
